Bacon Wrapped Beer Brats

2 T Brown Sugar Onion Powder, Cayenne Powder, Salt
- Bring brats in dark beer (I used brown ale) and about 2 T brown sugar, to boil, then simmer about 10 minutes, turn off heat. If you have time, let sit for a few hours in the beer, to cool.
- Cut brats into thirds. Make mixture of brown sugar, onion powder, salt and lots of cayenne powder. Mix well. Cut bacon strips in half and smash brown sugar mixture into each half.
- Wrap brats in bacon halves and secure with a toothpick. You can either bake at 400 degrees, turning once after bacon has browned and caramelized or grill, turning once to brown on all sides. Or until bacon is cooked to your liking.
