2 cups fresh cranberries
1 cup ripe pear, chopped
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
3/4 cup fresh orange juice
1 orange, zested
1 T candied ginger, minced
2 cardamom pods, crushed, paper shell removed
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon


  1. Combine cranberries and remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat; bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat, then simmer 5 minutes or until the cranberries pop, stirring frequently. Cool to warm or at room temperature.

Additional Notes

Tips–Serve over Cheesecake.
Serve alongside of freshly baked scones
